with the exception of not having exercised in a few days, i felt like today was much better on the diet front. had a big dinner, sure. but i didn’t know what dinner was going to be, so i skipped lunch to be sure. better safe than sorry, right?

I HIGHLY applaud your efforts but we need to tweak your methods. As a former Jr Olympic Swim Coach and master’s swimmer/collegiate distance runner, ex-semi-pro triathlete (meaning I wasn’t quite good enough to pull in full time money..ha), I’d say you shouldn’t skip a meal for calorie reasons. Your body starts to think, “Hmmm, maybe I am not getting any food today.” Then when you ate dinner it said, “Yes, hallelujah, I’d better store some of this up.”Your metabolism slows to a crawl. We need to get you eating 5 small “meals” a day to ramp up your metabolism. Your mid-morning and mid-afternoon “meal” should be high protein, like peanut butter and celery, smoked salmon etc. This will get your body thinking, “My mouth LOVES me and is always sending me little presents. More is coming so I definitely don’t need to store this up.”
Keep it up man, Keep it up. BTW, I checked out your photos and they ROCK!!!
yeah… thanks for the kind words and advice!
.
most of my days are exactly what you describe though. there has been a couple off days lately, but rest assured the norm is eating small amounts every 90 minutes or so.
