…been thinking about irony lately

Wouldn’t it suck if I died tomorrow in a freak meteor accident?

I’ve finally made a huge, life-changing decision that will allow me to get back out into the world and enjoy it. Since I’ve decided to make this change, I’ve been nearly desperate to lose the weight (the first time I’ve ever felt this way, yet more proof that this is the first time I’ve really wanted to change) so I can start doing all the things that I’ve always wanted to do but never could. Hiking, golfing, heck, even jogging sounds fun to me.

But for whatever reason, I haven’t been able to get the thought out of my head of me dying in a freak accident before I ever get to truly enjoy life as a healthy person.

That would suck.

So today I asked God for at least another five years.

I’m trying to stay somewhat low on my expectations on how much weight I can lose and how fast, but I figure I should be down to a pretty respectable weight within a couple years (sub-230 I would think). That would give me three good years of enjoying the healthiness.

Oh, on another topic…

I probably shouldn’t talk about it much, but after the wife of the guy we hit the other day called us and apologized for her husband hitting us, and offering to pay for the damages to our car… they have decided to sue us.
