five random things:

1. the DNC last night was pretty solid. michelle obama did a great job, and ted kennedy was amazing. i’m looking forward to what hillary will have to say tonight.
2. looking forward to starting a new believers life group with ben and val. it’ll be nice to start up a community of friends.
3. was out doing yard work this morning, trimming some bushes when i came along a peculiar looking plant. i spent a good fifteen minutes looking, examining, and wondering how marijuana started growing in my bushes. then i realized it was just a part of the japanese maple.
4. lost 2.4 pounds last week. it’s not nine pounds, but at least it’s in the right direction.
5. really really really digging the new metallica singles ;-). i’m so pumped for the full album!
