…going on a mini-vacation

woke up early this morning to an email from heather (the personal trainer) asking if i could meet her early today, at 9:30am for our session instead of our normal meeting time of 2pm. this worked out great for me, because today i’m heading out of town!

that’s right, ryanne and i are heading out to my parents campground to spend three nights away from toledo and it’s distractions to just unwind and relax. we’ll pretend we’re old and go play bingo with all the other campers, drive around the campground on a golf cart, read, and just enjoy each others company. i’m looking forward to it.

i’m taking a few books to read, so it feels a little reminiscent of my trip last year that so radically changed my life (at least for a little while.) i’m hoping to finish wide awake, and then i have crazy love by francis chan and jesus in the margins by rick mckinley to read after that. we’ll see what actually gets done! i’m really hoping the weather holds out and we’ll be able to spend some time by the first this year, unlike my rained out time at the camper last year.

so today i am running errands. well, not at the moment. after working out i went home, took a shower and got some food. now i’m writing this from a starbucks while i enjoy some coffee and maybe a little reading before heading to the perrysburg farmers market and picking up some fruits and vegetables for our trip. a couple more stops on the way home, and then it’s packing and waiting for ryanne to get home from work to make the hour long drive out to pioneer, ohio.

this blog will probably be pretty quiet the next few days. i’ve got a couple posts left today to go, and i might schedule some… but i am taking the camera with me so i’ll have plenty to update you on when i get back on sunday. also, i will be using twitter as necessary, so watch the twitter section on the side!
