…goodbye/hello car payments!
Today started off pretty good. We went to 5/3 Bank to pay off our car in the morning. Can you tell by the picture how happy Ryanne was?

…yeah, me neither.
Then it was off to purchase a new (used) car. We’ve been living with only one car between the two of us for nearly two years now, and it has been o.k. It’s starting to become more and more of a hassle though, and we figured it was about time to get a second car, especially now that we could do it and only have one car payment.
So we headed out into the wild. Actually, we’ve been looking at cars for nearly a month now, and this gave us the distinct edge of having narrowed down to four cars that she really liked (this is primarily going to be her car) and one that I really liked, and she was ok with.
Then, the wild-card car entered the fray. This car, is something we are both somewhat fond of, me more than her as I have ridden in one numerous times, while she has never been inside one let alone drove one. This wild-card car, gets ridiculous mileage, but is equally ridiculously difficult to find on used car lots. Wouldn’t you know, just when we were finally ready to purchase a new (used) car, a few of these cars found their way to the used car lots. No joke, one week ago, there wasn’t a SINGLE one of these wild-card cars for sale within fifty miles of Toledo, at least not according to Cars.com.
What car am I talking about? Lets just say Al Gore would be proud…

So, it gives me great pleasure to introduce you to the newest member of our family, our 2004 Toyota Prius…

Ryanne was pretty happy this time…
The car is in excellent condition. And it was right in our price range, we didn’t have to overspend at all to get it. We are both extremely happy about the purchase, even though Ryanne is still freaking out a little after spending so much money in one day, while I am just giddy that I got to co-sign on a car loan, and have my credit approved. This has been a long time coming for a guy who absolutely thrashed his credit as a teenager.
All in all, great day indeed… Ryanne definitely has a job, we paid off a car, we bought a car that gets 50+ miles per gallon, had a great meeting time with the Toledo Campus leaders, and managed to sneak in a day off from work.
Thanks God.
Cool car! Congrats!!
Hey car boy… er… ipod boy… er… website man… er… whatever….
Did you walk today? How are you doing on the eating front?
What was your weigh-in today?
Oh so many questions… oh so few posts with answers.
