Had a meeting with my Live Video Guys in the morning at Swan Creek Metro Park (I’m leading a Bible-study group), we meet every week now, and this was the first time we all gathered at a metro park rather than at a restaurant. It was quite nice, beautiful morning, and much easier to concentrate.
Afterwards, Ryanne (who came with me, but walked the paths — since she doesn’t have the parts necessary to be a part of a men’s group) and I headed to my parents for the new tradition of bi-weekly family lunches (we’re all busy, so dinner isn’t really an option). We’re all eating healthier these days, so we had ground beef burgers (go lean mom!) and turkey hot dogs for the main course, and a variety of low-calorie side dishes. I had been very anti-hot dog up until this afternoon, as fate would have it, I quite enjoy turkey hot dogs. There is something about them that taste much more… real.
My mother also made some terrific cherry almond granola, which when mixed with some vanilla yogurt, is ridiculously good. Unfortunately, it’s very high in calories too, so I refused to take some home with me
We spread out the wealth today… about a month ago I donated ten bucks to Barack Obama’s campaign, today we donated ten to John Edwards. It’s fun to be involved. Down with the right-wing fanatical republicans!
I don’t have a lot to say today. Sorry for the short sentences.
Oh! Ryanne and I are going to two concerts this week. Wednesday we’re seeing Tim McGraw (yay!) and Faith Hill (boo!) in Columbus, and on Friday we’re seeing the Gin Blossoms at Rally by the River (which coincidentally, we have VIP passes for, and get to sit in the Buckeye tent right at the front-right of the stage with free food and drinks, HOLLA!).
That is all, carry on.

Props to granola for it is rich in fiber and good for you. AND the recipe came out of a low-fat, low-calorie cookbook AND it was fat-free yogurt. Geesh…
