recently i posted a video of the crew from a slew of popular sites (including vimeo and busted tee’s) doing a large production of their entire staff lip syncing to a pop song. i quipped “wow, this looks like a fun place to work.”
it’s true, it does… but the video below looks even more fun.
this is a trailer for an upcoming series at lifechurch.tv called “at the movies.” watch the video, and then i have some comments below.
Anything Short of Sin from kevin ely on Vimeo.
- other than craig groeschel (and i’m no expert of LC.tv’s staff), i think every person in that video is on their video production staff.
- is it possible there is a church video team having anywhere near as much fun as these guys did making this?
- the creativity/planning/vision coming out of lifechurch.tv truly inspires me, and is something to be in awe of. i’d love to just go and hang out with their producers for a week and see how they do it, from conception to planning to execution, i just wonder if there is anyone out there doing it as good as they are.
- case in point, that was filmed in MARCH. the series isn’t for another THREE WEEKS. that’s incredible.
- oh, and to add to the fun, check out this outtake video (from the promo) found on the blog of bryan clark, one of the amazing producers at lifechurch.tv
- don’t get me wrong, i love my job, and i have a lot of fun at it. just wanted to be clear on that. i just appreciate what’s going on over at LC.tv

Thanks for the love man. We do have a good time, I’m not gonna lie… maybe a bit too much fun on that one… Glad you like it. A new one comes out this weekend…
can’t wait to see it ;-)
thanks for stopping by, and if you guys ever implement a program to let producers shadow your department for a few days, let me know ;-)
crap, Nick beat me here. ha ha
Thanks a lot for the mention, man! It was definitely a blast to make.
Honestly, every day isn’t making action movies, but it’s just as fun even when we’re doing something less exciting - because of the people we get to work with (and the reason we’re doing it).
