…the amazing power of commitment

Check this out…

It’s been six weeks since I had regular soda. I used to drink three to four cans a day.

It’s been four weeks since I’ve had chinese food. I used to whine and cry if I didn’t have the chinese buffet at least once a week, ask Ryanne if you don’t believe me.

It’s been eight weeks since I’ve had anything other than non-fat milk. I used to hate the stuff.

It’s been five weeks since I’ve ate more than 2,300 calories in a single day. I used to average 4,500 a day.

It’s been five weeks since I’ve ate pizza. I used to eat it at least once a week.

It’s been five weeks since I started this life change. In that time, I’ve lost almost 40 (39.1) pounds.

I couldn’t be doing any of this on my own. I really believe I am getting strength from God, my family, my friends, and all those people out there in the blogosphere that I don’t even know that still take time to give some encouragement.

Thanks.

that freakin’ rocks! I’ll just encourage you further to say that the longer you go, the less you will desire those things.

Actually, I ate a really greasy cheeseburger and onion rings once, and my body said, “no thank you” and we had to leave our movie early for me to go hurl for an hour!
