seriously. do you ever just have to pinch yourself and ask “wow, is this really my life?” whether in a good way or bad… i feel like this often.
today, my job entailed using a half gallon of lighter fluid to create an enormous campfire in the middle of a farmhouses lawn that just happens to be covered in four inches of snow. afterwards, i got to “supervise” a video shoot. i use quotations, because my team is so stinking good, they don’t need me much in that role.
so i really have to ask myself sometimes, how did i get so lucky to have such an amazing job? i need to do a better job of remembering times like that when i’m starting to feel particularly down at work. the next time i feel like work sucks, i need to remember how great i have it. so many people i know work jobs that they hate to pay the bills. i get to work a job that for the most part i absolutely love, doing things i love to do, and generally something different every week. i really am blessed.
