    While I do LOVE the look of that monitor and the fact that it has the iSight, mic, speakers and MB power supply built in, there’s NO WAY it’s worth that much money. Hopefully it’s because it’s a first gen item and it will come down soon.

    I’ve got the 17″ MBP and “had to” get a monitor that matched the HD resolution of my laptop so I got a sweet 24″ Samsung HD monitor from New Egg for around $400, which is less than half the price. Granted it doesn’t have those extras but are they worth an extra $500? I love Apple but I hate their pricing sometimes.

    DJ, the difference between that monitor and a Samsung HD, or any other, is the quality. That is a repackaged Apple Cinema monitor. Hands down they are the best per size out there. And that is a pretty good price too. Considering that the 20″ Cinema is $699.

    This exact setup is in my bid for a video system we are putting together. It will be our editing system. Can’t wait!
