…what more do you want?
March 18, 2008 – 4:05 pmit’s thirty seven minutes long. i am not going to lie, you need to set aside some serious time to watch this video, but i cannot stress just how worthwhile that time will be. i have never in my albeit short lifespan see a politician and presidential candidate have as much candor, honesty, and inspiring words in the midst of what some perceive to be a major controversy (reverend wright).
this is thirty seven minutes of proof, that there is a new kind of politician to choose from to be the next commander-in-chief. this is thirty seven minutes of proof that things can be different. this is thirty seven minutes of proof that we don’t have to steered by the politics of fear and shady dealings. this is thirty seven minutes of proof that barack obama is by far and away the best choice of the three major candidates left to run this country.
the cynics will be fast to come out and say this is nothing more than a speech. to that, i say read his website and take the time to see that he does indeed go into details about his specific stances. take this speech for what it is, an open, honest, and candor discussion on race and how it is playing out in the country today.
regardless of what candidate you support, regardless of whether or not you think obama is the anti-christ, regardless of whether or not you think obama is a muslim (if you do, you’re stupid - yes, seriously), regardless of whether or not you agree with his policies… i would honestly hope and pray that we all take time to watch this speech about the very important topic of racism in america, and process it.

This is outstanding. Thanks for posting it, Josh. Just a quick look at the del.icio.us popular tagged list, this speech occupies a few places in one form or another.
